Need to take a moment....

I woke up and felt the need to write a post to Travers mom and dad in China. I can only imagine that this day is a hard day for them. Five years ago they made a very difficult decision to leave Travers when he was only a few hours old.

I hope and pray that they know that Travers is a happy, loving, healthy boy who knows about them and that they will always be a part of our lives. Their difficult decision brought such incredible joy to our family and I could never thank them enough. I wish we could meet them one day but realize this would be nearly impossible.

We keep them a bit closer to our hearts on this day!

Travers' 5th Birthday

It is so hard for me to think that tomorrow is Travers 5th birthday! It seems like yesterday that we first saw his picture and then traveled to China to meet him! Travers is such an amazing kid and I can not wait to celebrate his birthday with him!

He wants me to come right away when he calls me in the morning so we can look in the mirror and see if 5 looks different then 4!

Happy New Year

Jean-Paul and I had plans to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday NewYear's Eve so I decided to take the kids to their favorite restaurant "Blue Moose" for lunch to celebrate New Year's with them. We all had a great time and they loved the celebration!

Our New Year's party was great! I am really looking forward to 2009 and all that it has in store for us!
