Leap Year

Well...today was fun day in the Wong house. It was mom's day to volunteer at Travers' school which is always a fun time! We read books, played "pick up sticks", built an igloo, played outside....and made slim!!! The only bad part was Travers started feeling sick again right before heading home and sure enough he had another low grade fever. This "stuff" that has been going around our house just needs to leave!!!

Isabelle and Amelie had a nice long walk with Kelly and lots of shopping was done! It was funny to see Kelly arrived back home pushing the double stroller and carrying a LARGE bag from Macy's and a birthday cake!

Tonight we had fun playing after taking a bath. It is always a crazy time in our house!!

Amelie loves to blow her nose!

Amelie is mad because she can not climb onto the chair like her big brother Travers.

Isabelle squatting to read a note.

Isabelle trying to jump...her body goes up but her feet do not leave the floor!

Travers being his silly self!

I am still trying to learn this posting/layout stuff...did not go so well tonight! I will try to get better!

Four years old

It is so hard to believe that our little boy Travers is now four years old!! This is his "famous" red couch photo taken while in China. The photo was taken in September 2004...he was the only little boy and the only one asleep!! He caused a domino effect that made lots of the little girls cry! He slept through the whole thing! And yes...he still sucks his finger!!!

Posts

I just thought I'd give you the heads up that I am going to throw in some old/out of order posts from the past 4 years every once in a while just to fill in some blanks!

Another dinner

Tonight we the kids and I headed out to dinner because we were getting cabin fever. We were going to walk but decided to drive since it was cooling off again quickly. The kids were great at dinner...even the women next to us commented on their ability to sit and eat! Amelie's palette still continues to amaze me. She is like Travers in that she will eat different and spicy food! Tonight she had her own bowl of salsa, which had a kick to it, and a lime! Isabelle pushed both of these away and stuck to the french fries! Travers ate a bit of everything. Since we did not walk to dinner we walked around the center where the restaurant is located....I will always remember our guide on our first trip to China making us walk a mile after every dinner! Huh....wonder if that is what helps them stay so slim!

Noodles for dinner

We decided to have noodle soup for dinner last night because everyone is a bit sick. Amelie is usually our neat eater but tonight the roles were reversed. Between the noodles and the yogurt Amelie was a mess!! And little Miss Isabelle who is usually a mess was rather neat. Check out Amelie being helpful! She LOVES to help clean...she is taking her plate from the table to the sink...with only one spill...which she cleaned up. She would not accept my help. Now how to encourage the other two...or three if you count JP!

Not a writer

Disclosure: I want to be sure anyone reading this understands that I am not a writer! In fact I hate to write and am a horrible speller. So if my grammar is off or something is misspelled because I forgot to spell check don't worry about it. This blog is for the really for the kids to look back on one day and they will soon find out that mom cannot spell.

Do you hear me JP and dad!!!

thanks!

Finally a "warmer" day!

A bit warmer

Well today was a bit warmer here in the midwest so we thought we would venture out. Actually, T is home from school (because of a cough that seemed worse this morning) so all three kids and I ran to Starbucks for mom's Venti Chai Tea! Near the Starbucks is a statue of a boar that the kids love to climb on. Of course I thought it was warmer then it actually was so no one has coats or hats which cut our playing time short. We plan to go for a walk this afternoon and grab an early dinner at a Mexican restaurant near by.

First post

Hello all. This is new venture for me. I am not the best at documenting milestones/events for my children so I thought I would give this a try. We will see how it goes!
