What a day!

Today has been a day...not bad...just a crazy day. But then again maybe that is the norm in the Wong house!!

While making breakfast for Travers I heard a drip, drip, and then rushing water. I quickly realized that grandpa was taking a shower upstairs and the shower was flooding into the kitchen!! Yikes!!

After ruining grandpa's shower we called our home warranty company and all took a deep breath! I mean it could have happened on Thanksgiving or something!

The bad, bad pipe!

Second hole

First hole!

Now this is not unexpected since we always buy rehabs but I was at least hoping to get a new kitchen or bathroom out of it! Oh well?

Then I took Travers and Amelie to get ultrasounds of their kidneys. Why? Exposure to melamine while in China.

The doctor called late this afternoon and all looks good!! So happy to take that worry off our plate!

And now...my three kids are running wild waiting for their cousins from Texas to arrive. Hopefully they will arrive soon!!

Here are their excited little faces!! (and a few other photos)!!

Let the holidays begin!!

Perfect Kids

Last week I had a conversation with a friend that has been bugging me. It went something like this:

My friend is pregnant with twins and is very nervous. She is nervous that she will never be so lucky as to get two more "perfect kids" like her son. I told her I knew someone who was that lucky to have three perfect kids. She asked me, "Who?"

"ME!" I said.

This answer made her laugh and she said you think your kids are perfect. (also meaning good)

"YES!" I said.

Then I continued....

I have three healthy kids who laugh everyday.

I have three kids who love their parents, grandparents, other family member and each other and are not afraid to show it.

I have three kids who love to sleep!

I have three kids who act goofy, silly and express their personalities often!

I have three kids who I have so much fun with on a daily basis!

I have three kids who are love animals!

I have three kids who are compassionate!

I then told said...do I have well behaved kids all the time who feel like they must follow every single rule.

No.

I do not view that as my role as a parent. I feel that I am to teach and guide my kids but allow them to experience life and learn from their mistakes.

So...if I am every asked again if I have perfect kids I will once again answer

YES!

Arizona fun

Just a few photos of our trip so far. We had lunch at Pioneer Village which included "cowboy games"!

Heather was able to hit the bullseye 5 times with the arrows!! I guess all that summer camp paid off!

Here are also a few photos taken the weekend before we left. My mom, the girls and I did a bit of shopping and then I headed out Saturday night for a 40th birthday party!

Arizona

Well Jean-Paul and I are on a vacation. We left home today for Scottsdale and will be here until Thursday. It's the first time we have traveled together since having all three kids. My mom is staying with the kids.

The first thing Jean-Paul said at the airport was,"I feel light!" Funny how light you can travel when you don't have to carry all the baby/kid gear!!

Toy time

(It was the Sears toy catalog...not JC Penny! How could I forget!! Thanks for reminding me!!)
I remember looking through every page of the Sears toy catalog as a child and circling the one's I wanted Santa to bring me for Christmas!!

I laughed when I walked in the room and Isabelle was very intently reading the Target toy catalog! It made me smile!

Cookie Time!

When I stop for my Chai Tea the girls say "Cookie Time"! Today the cookies were particularly large!!

Wow..it's been some time!

We have had another crazy month!! After Halloween Grandma came to visit. She is here until after Thanksgiving and we are having a wonderful time!

My mom (grandma) and I headed to California for my cousins wedding! IT was beautiful and it was fabulous to see family again! It had been way too long! I love that we can just pick up as if we just saw each other last week!

(Blogger messed with my order!!)

Hanging out after the day after the wedding!

Aunts and cousins!

Beautiful Bride and Groom!

Three sisters!

We had a few Halloween parties and then of course trick or treating! The kids really had a fun week but in the end only one, Isabelle, would wear her costume for more then 15-20 minutes. Here are a few photos from our week!
