Amelie and shoes

Amelie LOVES shoes! She has to pick out her own shoes each morning and if I try to put on other they come off all day long! Here is a photo of Amelie in my shoes! She also has her Diego backpack and is ready to go on an adventure! So funny!

The Farmstead

The kids and I went to a local "Farmstead" this week. A few things I learned...Isabelle really does not like animals to be near her...but Amelie and Travers do! Isabelle found one of Grandma's headbands and has been wearing it all week...do you see it...it is blue! Travers LOVES to fish! We can't wait to take him camping and fly fishing soon! A great time was had by all!

The pool is open!

To end our weekend we headed to our club for the pool opening party! The weather was a bit cool and overcast but that did not stop the kids from jumping right in! This is the first year Isabelle and Amelie really played in the water and they loved it! They had fun splashing dad and mom with water. Travers had lots of friends from school at the pool so he also had a blast! He even went in the big pool with dad which he actually loved since they heated the big pool and not the baby pool!

Backyard BBQ

On Sunday we headed to our friends for a good old backyard BBQ. Fun was had by all! It is an annual event with our friends and it is so fun to watch the kids grow and change! This year the playground was new and boy did Travers, Amelie and Isabelle have fun!

Amelie's favorite place

There are times when Amelie disappears in the house....and when I find her this is where she usually is, in our bed under the covers. Today she was there "talking" on her phone! It always makes me laugh!

Pool anyone

We were finally settled enough to invite some friends over for dinner and some pool. Jean-Paul made a wonderful meal which we were able to enjoy outside. Then we played some pool! The great thing about our new house is the kids are at the other end so we were even able to make frozen margarita's in the bar without waking them up!

More Music Festival photos

At the music festival there was also a slide, moon walk and water fountains to play in! Amelie and Travers loved the water...Isabelle was not so sure! But...Isabelle was the last one in the moon walk and had to be helped out by the volunteer at the door! :)

Music Festival

On Saturday the kids and I headed down to a Children's Music Festival with some friends. We loaded all four kids in the car and then it started to rain. Thank goodness it did not last but boy was the ground wet! We ate some corn dogs and danced to some fun music! Travers was so cute and very protective of his little sisters! It was so cute!

What a way to start the weekend!

Grandpa came in town for one night. On his last visit he bought a new truck and now has to drive it home! Don't ask! Anyway...after some great Kansas City BBQ we had Popsicles! They were so good but I'm not sure what they put in Popsicles these days as they stain not only clothes but hands, mouths, and bellies! We then headed to the bath and bed!

Last day of Preschool!

I can hardly believe that Travers had his late day of preschool this week! I spent some of the day with him and was in tears a few times. It is so amazing how much he has grown and learned this past year. He had an amazing group of teachers and we will miss them as he moves on to his pre-K class next fall!

Water Fun!

While Travers napped on Sunday the girls had some fun in the water. We had a bucket and a sprinkler and lots of laughs! I can't wait until we open our pool next week!

Who needs teeth?

These are not the best photos but you get the idea. Last Monday Isabelle was cruising down the driveway on her toy when she hit something and went flying. She landed on her face and cracked her two front teeth. Turns out one of them has a horizontal crack which means it must be pulled. We meet with the oral surgeon next Thursday. If they do pull it she will be without a tooth until she is 6 or 7 and her permanent tooth comes in!
